Re-upped: Bad Boy - Electric Eyes (1984)

Continuing with another entry from Milwaukee's Bad Boy, this is their fourth studio release from 1984, "Electric Eyes". In an attempt to remain relevant among the giants of overblown 80's hard rock, Bad Boy update their sound embellishing it with synth pads and noodley fretwork. Does it work? Well, it does a little but even then, it all comes off a bit third tier in the end. With Xeno (original Cheap Trick vocalist) now at the helm, the melodies are more prominent than ever, but the lack of originality reduces this obscurity to nothing more than a curiosity. There are some strong cuts here, but nothing really has staying power. Regardless, here it is in all its newly ripped digital glory. Bad Boy fans will want to sink their teeth into one of the band's forgotten releases.

Love Bad Boy!
Do you have their "Back To Back" album by any chance?

Could you please, please, please possibly put Bad Boy's "Electric Eyes" back up? This site has now made me a fan of these guys. Talk about criminally overlooked! They should be in the big leagues even today.

Thank, you, thank you, thank you for re-upping the Bad Boy download! You, this site, and, oh yeah, Bad Boy all rock!

Hey Ronnie, totally random--have you ever come across (or can post) the Capital City Rockets lone self-titled LP?

They featured Eric Moore and Bob Hill who later formed the Godz (Columbus, OH hard rockers, not the 60s psych band).

Secondly, any chance to post the King Flux 7" that Richie Stotts released after the Plasmatics?

OK I'm done now. Thanks for all the great sounds.

Ronnie, The Bad Boy content your making available out here is a licensed product that you are illegally distributing. The band owns the rights to this music and I am contacting both Steve Grimm and Xeno of Bad Boy to make them aware this. All of these releases are available for sale directly from Bad Boy.

Seeing that you say you’re a musician, I hope that I can appeal to that musician in you when I ask that you remove these downloads. These guys are not rich musicians and they have worked hard and paid for the recording of these songs. If people want them, they can get them directly from the band so that Bad Boy can use those proceeds to continue writing the great music they make.
